We were looking for weekend getaway before ending of vacation. One of the friend suggested us Devlali.
Devlali is one of the nearest gateway from Mumbai. The temperature goes down till 19 degrees in winters. Nashik city is few meters away from this place. Best time to visit is from November to January.
How to reach : Devlali has it own station so you can get down there or at Nashik Road Stn. Various trains are available from Lokmanya Tilak Terminals. By train,it is 3 to 4 hours journey. You can go by your own car and also various luxury buses are available.
Accommodation : Take any hotel in Devlali camp or near it. There are many sanitorium available but for families. Sanitorium are for specific religions like Jinendra Estate for Jains.
Food Options : You can find restaurants offering Maharashtrian food(veg n non-veg) anid also Jain food. Also various stalls near Muktidham temple are options available. Do not miss the hot milk you get over there.
Attractions : 1) Muktidham temple – It is said that temple is having 33 crore hindu gods. Photography is prohibited in temple. Temple also has 12 shivlings. There is small shops and food stalls around the temple.
2)Contentment Board – The cleanliness and well maintained roads are also worth seeing.
3)Temple Hill – Temple hill is also known as Khandoba Tekri dedicated to Khandoba Maharaj who is incarnation on Lord Shiva. This place draw attraction for it’s sunrise and sunset point. It is widely spread park consisting of artifical waterfall and childrens park.
